Amy is a skilled professional in the disciplines of coaching, execution, planning, training, and facilitation in organizations. She has provided this expertise to organizations in a variety of industries including Albany Park Community Center, the American Hospital Association, the American Planning Association, BP/Amoco, Cisco Systems, Clearbrook, Deloitte, Hewitt Associates, Hendrickson International, Protected Tomorrows, Stepan Company, Tate & Lyle and TranzAct Technologies.
Amy earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, and a Master’s Degree in Training and Development, with an emphasis in Organization Development, from Loyola University in Chicago. Along with her certification in the Tiara Model for True Leadership (SM), Amy is certified as a DDI (Development Dimensions International) Facilitator, a facilitator for the Korn Ferry 360-degree feedback and development process, a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator practitioner, and as a Certified Professional Behavior Analyst (CPBA) – qualifying her to administer the DISC Personal Profile Tool.
Amy is the founder of Shoop Consulting Group, Inc. and The Courage of a Leader. She is working on her second book, The Courage of a Leader: How to Inspire, Engage and Get Extraordinary Results. After over 20 years of developing leaders at all levels Amy continues to be inspired the courageous ideas, actions and ways of being she witnesses from leaders. In her book she’ll share important leadership mindsets, frameworks and tools. Yet, most importantly, she’ll share real stories about how leaders inspire themselves and those around them, engage others and get extraordinary results.
